Mary Ann Lewis gave this brief teaching on Shabbat at the Resting in the Redeemer Conference in January 11-12, 2019. In Session 1 of the conference here, Mary Ann begins this conference with a message about Shabbat as one of the feasts of the Lord. She explains how Shabbat, rest, is connected to the Creation narrative, how God rested, and how He wants us to enter into His rest. Shabbat is also connected to the Exodus – given as one of the ten commandments – and meant to be a reminder that because we are free we can rest.
