Marianna Gol gave this teaching in Session 2 at the Nourishment From the Root 2016 Conference.
In this session Marianna shares her testimony of coming to faith in Russia following the fall of the iron curtain, including her journey to Messianic Judaism and ultimately to life in Israel. She talks about her home in Omer, near the ancient well of Abraham as ground zero for Jews and Gentiles, as the place of the original promises that ultimately grew into the kingdom. She then describes the ministry of Streams in the Desert – a mercy ministry to single mothers and their children – which includes emotional, spiritual, and financial support for the moms and camps, hikes, and after school activities for the kids.
Finally, Marianna shares a vision the Lord has given her for a community center with a bomb shelter in Beer Sheva. The center will be called B’Tzel Shaddai – “In the Shadow of the Almighty.” She recruits the group to pray for the vision, encouraging us to see the amazing gift of faith that American Christians bring to the global Body of Christ – she explains that we are the “Go for it!” “Anything is possible!” cheerleaders of the body and that she wants to “borrow our faith.” The session ends with prayer for B’Tzel Shaddai.
