In Session 3 Orna Grinman continues her theme of the Widowhood of Israel with an analogy to the Book of Ruth. She spends some time examining the meaning of the Hebrew names of the characters and explains how names proclaim a person’s destiny. She then goes on to describe the relationship of Gentile Christians to Israel in light of Ruth’s relationship to Naomi. She ends with a powerful description of what Israel needs from the Church – to come face to face with people of such genuine character that can only be produced by spending the night at the feet of the Redeemer.
